Your old .NET system, rebuilt in weeks.

I'm Frank Saraceno. For 25 years I've built and modernized Microsoft-stack software for healthcare, finance and engineering companies. Today I pair that experience with AI-assisted development to ship upgrades, new features and whole products far faster than a traditional team.

Services

Four things I do well

Each engagement starts with a fixed scope and a clear deliverable, so you know what you're getting before work begins.

Legacy .NET modernization

Move .NET Framework, Web Forms, MVC 5, WCF or WPF applications to modern .NET, with tests in place so nothing quietly breaks along the way.

.NET Framework → .NET 8–10 · EF Core · xUnit

AI features in existing apps

Add document search, summarization, assistants or classification to software you already run, using Azure OpenAI or local models, with data kept where it belongs.

Azure OpenAI · local LLMs · hybrid routing

APIs and microservices

Split a monolith into services you can deploy on their own, or design clean REST APIs with documentation, authentication and CI/CD from day one.

ASP.NET Core Web API · OAuth 2.0 / OIDC · Azure DevOps

New products, built fast

Take an idea to a working, sellable product: the app, the website, payments, licensing and monitoring. The case study below is one I built for myself.

C# · C++ · Angular · React · SQL Server

Case study

arctone.studio

A complete commercial software product, designed and built by one developer working with AI.

A live-performance audio app for Mac and Windows

arctone.studio lets musicians stack and switch plug-ins and presets, at home or on stage. It runs as a standalone app and as a VST plug-in.

Around the app sits everything a real software business needs: a public website, checkout, license keys, customer email, installer signing and a monitoring dashboard that alerts my phone if anything goes down.

Experience

25 years of software that couldn't go down

Most of my career has been inside regulated systems: patient records, Medicare reporting, payments and banking.

How it works

From first call to handover

  1. Talk it through

A short call about what you have, what's hurting and what done looks like.

  2. Fixed-scope proposal

A written plan with deliverables, timeline and a set price.

  3. Build in the open

Working software every week, in your repository, so you can see progress and steer.

  4. Handover

Tests, documentation and a walkthrough so your team can own it from there.
